YES! People are so stupid about abusing dogs. I agree. We just adopted one that was abused and it's taking him a while to settle down. He can't stand it if my kids fight. Ugh!

People are rather sick and stupid indivisuals. In their head however, they don't think that it's unusual in any way. A lot of doctors have said that it's a early warning side for children who torture or kill animals, it could mean that they end up being serial killers. They look at them as if they were insects that don't deserve to live... Though regular beatings or any other abuse toward a dog by someone who isn't a killer, lol... Would most likely mean that they simply have a power problem. They like feeling as if they are the more powerful.

Yes, people are stupid. Sometimes people who were once abused go on to abuse other creatures. Sometimes people who lack the ability to express negative emotions in a healthy way are abuseive to animals. There are also a number of psychaitric disorders that can show themselves by animal abuse. It is a shame.

I've always wondered the same thing!! I personally think that abusing an animal should deserve the same or worse punishment than for abusing a person. animals can't defend themselves like we can, that is why the punishment should be worse.

They abuse dogs (and other animals) to feel powerful. To feel like they are the boss and they can do anything. It's just wrong

some people are cruel and stupid. Generally they don't just stop and one species. Most serial killers have a history of killing pets before trying humans.
Maybe we can believe in Karma and hope one day they understand that hurting animals is wrong.

the answer is to question those people love to control anything,I my self belive if a human abuses an animal they will abues people. if i ever see someone hit there dog i will say something to them, they are sick

People unfortunately don't know how to control their anger or other emotions, so they take their frustration out on the dog.

animal cruelty is vile and anyone who abuses animals has a serious screw loose and should be tortured and evicted from society- it makes me physically ill to even think about it

I think it is because they know the dog cannot tell on them. It is inhuman to torment an animal! If you see someone doing this you should report it!!!!!!!
