I don't know how soon you can test, but I think you shouldn't worry too much--my mom and dad both wear glasses, so do my two sisters, but I have never needed even reading glasses. So unless your son has trouble seeing his toys, or bumps into things when he starts crawling, I'd advise you to at least wait till he can talk. It won't hurt him any.

I am not sure at the soonest possible age, but my daughter had glasses by the time she was one year old because she had originally started walking and then kept bumping in to things and quit. They were prescribed without the aid of her being able to tell the doctor what she could see during the testing. The glasses helped immensley, she was up & walking again right away! She still wears glasses now at 21, even after eye surgery, but she looks great with them on. There are so many cute styles now...they can almost look just like an accessory that you are wearing for the style instead of for function. I would bet that they can outfit a child with their first pair of glass by the time they are 6 months old, or younger these days! Find a good pediatric Ophthalmologist...they will have better bedside manner, non-threatening offices, staff that love children (even scared & crying ones!) and proper sized equipment for the little ones. Also, they understand the dosing for the dilation drops for children, and know how to elicit the responses they need to be sure they are giving the child the right diagnosis & prescription. We stuck with ours for 18 years, he was wonderful! Good luck!

Ask a doctor but I am pretty sure that until your baby reaches at least 2 years of age, there is no chance to put him glasses. My baby's doctor told me so because my baby was born premature and has to go Though several checks until he becomes 2 and then some control visits 'till 5 years old.

nicely in the beginning do not cope with the youngsters till they're approximately 2 weeks previous. the mum will take solid care of them only be sure you put in lots of unpolluted water and nutrition. in case you're protecting the mice for extra then 6 weeks separate them while they're at 5 weeks simply by fact the male will reproduce while they're 6 weeks (and in the event that they do reproduce with there sisters the youngsters would be snarled)!! be sure you have lots of tissue and bits of previous outfits so the mum could make a nest. you will possibly desire to get rid of the male suited after the mice are born simply by fact interior of 24 hours the male can get the female pregnant lower back!! i'm getting 2 mice quickly and that i'm hoping to reproduce them to boot!! tell me if all of it worked out and desire you have relaxing!! the youngsters may be able to choose for adoption at 4 weeks of age ;)

Your son is due for some vaccinations in the not-too-distant future. Ask his doctor then.
And you may be worried about this for nothing. But in the meantime, take some deep grahts adn CALM DOWN. Your anxiety about this will be picked up by your son, and it will cause you no end of trouble with the differences in his behaviour.

I would not worry too much yet. My husband and I both her terrible eyesight.......so I fear my daughter will have the same. But her doc told us not to worry about it at all until she is closer to 3 or if we see some noticable problems.......ie her holding pictures/books too close to her face, having trouble picking up small objects. so far she is 10 months and seems to be able to see fine.

About four months is good, generally when a baby is born they'll check for obvious eye problems, but it doesn't necessarily mean your son has eye problems because you do. Talk to your pediatrician he/she will be able to check for you.
