I'd probably go to the zoo several times before and inspect the sercurity system looking for cameras, guard rotations, and crowd movements. When i had enough information I go to the zoo on an average slow day, find a sutiable place to hide free of people and cameras. I'd wait till around 1-2 am to come out of hiding and change into black clothing or have reverisible clothing complete with mask and gloves.
Now the hard part would be getting into the monkey cage. I'd try to find a way into the keepers area or backstage area. Once gaining entrance to the monkey cage i'd use a tranquilzer gun or homemade blow dart gun. After I incapacitated the creature i would it into a backpack and leave under or over a zoo fence or wall. It would be important to maintain the monkey's unconsicousness and to avoid people. One would then have stolen a monkey from the zoo.
After that it is merely escaping capture by either paying off a private pilot to fly you out of the country or move to an isolated part of the country with a pre-made basement habitat for the monkey to live and thrive. For the rest of your life you must avoid breaking the law, and remember to do your taxes. Tell no one of the monkey unless you are absolutly certain they will not turn you in. And there you have it. You've stolen a monkey. However it is important to remember that getting caught at any time can result in a fine for trespassing to jail time for attempted robbery, stolen property, possession of an endangered animal, animal cruelty, breaking and entering, and of course grand theft monkey.

first Of all why would you want to, Just let it be, unless your going to free it and take it to its natural place, where it would survive, and would be happy, but why would you want to steal one, why dont you rescue one, stealing out of the zoo is not a good idea, Read My lips, Animal rescue police would be after you and you would get caught so why dont you just rescue one Thats In the wild and Injured, or at a zoo where many baby monkeys are availble, stealing a monkey endangers you and the monkey????

you get ready to go to jail, and bring plenty of bananas in a backpack inside the zoo, show them to the monkey and let it follow you....still, you gotta teach 'em how to open the cage...

do you think monkeys are going to want to be stolen from the zoo? you will probably have to tranquilize them to transport them. you can't just throw them in a pillowcase and run.
