Go figure I bought a pregnant guppy as my first fish lol. I've been reading up and apparently they have fry like crazy. I only have a 10 gallon tank so it's definately not enough space. Will Petsmart buy my guppies back, and if not what should I do with them if they grow up? Also the only other thing I have is a bowl without filters or anything and I'm guessing they'll probably die.

No, petsmart won't take your guppies. Typically, Petsmart and other large chains will not take fish from common folk; they get all their fish from suppliers. The reason for this is disease etc; if a supplier gives them a fish with an illness, the store will get refunded for any losses.
A smaller petstore, like a local fish store, might give you store credit, or maybe even not that. Guppies are very, very easy to breed and therefore difficult to sell. You may be able to give them away as feeder fish fairly easily.
Or you can just let the fry be eaten by the adults in the aquarium.

no, PetSmart does not put fish that have been in customers tanks back into their tanks. It is to control disease.

You can do a few different things. Guppy breeders will cull (i don't know if i spelled that right) off fish that are not desireable. They just, well, "get rid" of them.

If you don't mind them being feeders, you could give them to a petstore. Most petstores won't buy guppies. they're a dime a dozen (or less) literaly.

You could let nature take its course. Many won't make it and a few will get eaten if you leave them in with the mother. There is more chance of surrvival of the tank is heavily planted and well filtered.

yes, they will die if you put them in bowls. It would be more humane to euthanize them. I would just let nature take it's course. If you decide guppies aren't for you, I would see about giving the female and the babies to a petstore and trying something new.

Petsmart will take back the female within 14 days of purchase.
