I like pop rock like Fall Out Boy but one of my friends told me that their songs are about doing drugs and homosexual intercourse. (not that i am against gay people i just don't think that it would be appropriate for me to listen to at 12 years old.)
Does anyone know of any bands like them but with nicer lyrics?

1.Jack's Mannequin
2.The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
3.Death Cab For Cutie
1. My all time favorite band. I reccomend Dark Blue, it's a very mellow rock song with some of the best lyrics. If you're looking for a subtle love song, try Rescued. And of course The Mixed Tape, their first single, is insanely good. Also, Into The Airwaves and Kill The Messenger are great. Just don't get Holiday From Real, it has mildly crude language in it, unless you're fine with that.
2. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a lesser-known pop punk band. You might've heard Face Down on MTV or something, it's one of my favorites. Also listen to Seventeen Ain't So Sweet, Cat And Mouse, Damn Regret and Your Guardian Angel. All are great songs I think you'll really be into.
3. Death Cab For Cutie! Just buy everything by them. Everything. You won't regret it!

I used to be like you. I was obsessed with bands like Fall Out Boy and everything. But then, my dad made me listen to the Beatles and now I'm addicted! You should try them. They are the world's best band anyways.

well i dont think with fall out boys lyric format youd actually be able to tell what they are about.
its hard to find music that isnt about bad stuff because thats what gives artists today inspiration... all american rejects are good for what you're looking for.

People should listen to their roots, Elton John, Queen, their singers are gay, but they can sing so damn good!

i dont listen to any of that commercial crap..like fall out boy, green day, my chemical romance etc...the music i listen to is mostly by Coldplay, NickelBack, Alanis Morissette etc.
