he has the capability to become a hokage but i think he do't want to be a hokage becoz it's mendokse....
but i think he would be a better hokage then Naruto.

No, it is very unlikely that Shikamaru becomes Hokage. Naruto is the one that's probably gonna become Hokage, because even Tsunade thinks so. I found this site where some guy claims he spoke to the author of Naruto and I don't know whether to believe it or not, but he says that Naruto becomes the sixth Hokage. I couldn't believe it, honestly. The whole Hokage job was never ever on his radar. I'm trying to be hopeful here by saying that Sasuke was simply teasing :/ The only way I could see it happening would be if Naruto died in the end and Sasuke had done something very special and important to redeem himself. A friend of mine actually thinks it would be a better ending if Naruto died but was honoured with the Hokage title in death or something like that. Everyone always thought the end would be Naruto as Hokage, finally living his dream. But this is a curve ball on its own. We won't get the Naruto vs. Sasuke death match either. The only way we could currently get Naruto vs. Sasuke would be a fight for the title of Hokage.

I honestly don't think so. I mean, he was the only one to automatically become a Chunin, but being the Hokage isn't his thing. The whole story of Naruto is mainly about working his way up to being Hokage and getting the respect he wants, soo it's not likely..

If you know anything about naruto youd know that it is still ongoing. Currently tsunade is the hokage, for you guys who watch it on CN you will find out in 20-30 episodes.
Shikamaru isnt gonna become hokage, he is too lazy. Plus itd take all the fun out of naruto if naruto doesnt become hokage. The whole series would be pointless then. Ahoo ahoo :-p.

well, i hope not. shikamaru is a great ninja. but still, i guess everyone's hoping that in the end, naruto would be able to fulfill his dream of becoming hokage.

Not that I know of. He becomes a jounin and everything but not Hokage, I think Naruto does.

I dont think so cause he becomes a chuunin and im on the english version so im not far...
besides isint the whold point of naruto, to show that naruto tryed his hardest to BECOME the hokage?
so i think it would be sad if he didnt become one:(
