Candlebox was amazing in their day. In a world where everyone was either Greeday or Nirvana they had the guts to employ their own sound. However, the Lucy CD was a complete disappointment
Standing the test of time? I went to a funeral a few weeks ago where Far Behind was used.

I have heard of Candlebox. They were the first band ever signed to Madonna's Maverick Records label. They were often lumped in with the Seattle music scene, but I thought their music sounded more like a version of the hard rock/hair band/heavy metal of the late 1980's and early 1990's. I think that the band moved to Seattle when that scene exploded but that most of the members were originally from Texas.

I think they might actually be a bit overrated. I worked in a used CD store for a while, back in 98, we couldn't give their stuff away. They took up residence in the bargain bin w/ Jesus Jones, Paula Abdul, and EMF. I never thought they had anything to offer that set them apart, or had an especially unique sound.
