You've never been to a doctor before??

Yes to checking down there. By "chest" do you mean breasts? If so, yes.
Some internal medicine doctors will do a pelvic exam, but ONLY if you ask them to.

Usually a family doctor examines you with a robe provided by the doctor's office. You usually take off everything, but your underwear and put on the robe that ties. The nurse takes your blood pressure and takes your pulse and temperature. The doctor will ask you questions and you talk to him about any problems. He/she will listen to your heart and breathing with the stethoscope, check your throat, eyes, and ears. Some will look at your hands and nails. He/she will also check your reflexes.

A family doctor can perform pelvic and breast exams, but like at the gyno if it is a male doctor a female nurse is present in the exam room. Why is your doctor being or did he do something weird? If you are questioning anything talk to a close friend or family member and make sure that nothing funny is going on.

Your family doctor can do pelvic exams as well as breast exams, just like your gyno.

All doctors learn to do pelvic and breast exams, just some of them go on to other specialties. An OB/GYN, family practice, general practictioner, along with advance practice nurses, and midwives can all do 'female' exams.

A family doctor can do pelvic and breast exams as well, they just don't specialize in it like gynecologists do.
