happens to me all the time, but that is life. You put your trust and hopes in peoples' hands and they just toss it away carelessly, not even realizing what they did. It could be anybody, from your brother, or your best friend, or even a coworker. It sucks when it happens, but I seem to make the same mistake over and over with everyone I meet in my life. I even do it to myself, I expect so much of myself, and then am left dissappointed.

Yes. I think it's because we are eternal optimists and always build people up to be greater than they really are, which sets us up for disappointments.
