It depends on how the benefits and pay weigh out. If it's going to be worth it to drive, then go for it. But if you can get the same or close to the same perks at the closer location, then go for that one.

Atia.....
You may have to drive 60 miles for the interview, but the job may be at the brach closer to you. If it isn't, and you like everything else, accept the job, and hope for a transfer later.
Consider the cost of driving, parking, etc before you make a decision. Some jobs are worth driving for.

Depends on how badly I needed the job and if I had many other prospects or just one. Ultimately, yes. You can always work at the one further away for a little while then ask for a transfer after your "probabtionary period".
You may need to take the job anyway because the one close doesn't have a new position open. Therefore the transfer is your only option...

I have driven hundreds of miles to interview and not gotten the job. I regularly ask people to drive 60-70 miles to interview if I believe that they have reasonable chance to get the job. If you are reluctant to spend an hour traveling to an interview, I am not sure you want "my" job, but are more interested in "a" job.

even as i look at the position to promote an open position i look at that income and the position others in my business business enterprise makiing that income stay. For a income below 9.ninety 9/hr I actually have more effective than some no more effective than 15 miles each and every way for a lengthy life of employment of over 6 months. Over 10.00/hr, I merely bypass as a lot as twenty miles or so. you would might want to be flattening extensively more effective than minimum salary to make this nicely worth your even as. also, if all and multiple provides you with an hourly fee of seven.00/hr-remind that minumum salary is 7.25/hr.

No, that is much to far to drive. You can find another job closer I'm sure. Unless you are planning to move there, I wouldn't do it.
