Hi, everyone!
My 12th birthday is coming up, and I was wondering if you had any ideas for games, snacks, decorations, etc. It's a boy-girl party, so nothing too girly. More info will be added if asked!

Well the obvious 70s party is a disco one. Find disco music from the mid 70s to late 70s, get a ball for the middle of the ceiling like in Saturday Night Fever, strobe lights. Have pop rocks and look up other 70s candy , have someone come in and teach you kids ' the hustle', the ' bump' and the different disco dances. Rent Saturday Night Fever if it's ok with your parents.

70s were also about ecology and the environment, get some Jacques Cousteau specials, if you live in a warm climate get toy sea animals and put them in your pool for people to ' dive' in and bring up to the surface. Find some whale and dolphin sound cds. Play songs by John Denver, Carole King, James Taylor, Loggins and Messina. Have healthy snacks and drinks.

Spin the bottle was a big 70's party game. You could have fondu with melted chocolate and fruit to dip in - that was huge in the 70's. I'd have everyone dress in 70's clothes. You could decorate with the 70's happy faces or you could make a classic 70's movie theme like Saturday Night Fever and have a whole disco theme centered around Saturday Night Fever! You need a disco ball

Go to a roller rink. Or redo the room that your having it over with funky stuff. Put a disco ball up, see if you can find a black light and put up some black light posters. Put together some 70's music. Disco, bubble gum or whatever. Snacks would be pizza, soda, chips, cookies etc. You can have a dance contest. Are you asking people to dress like the 70's? You could have a coolest costume award(nothing big, maybe a cupcake with winner written on it in icing) Karaoke, they didn't have it the 70's but its still fun. twister, rent fun 70's movies.
