That is pretty restrictive.
Senator Barack Obama wrote a book called, The Audacity of Hope. It addresses more than just African American experiences and he's up for a few awards for it.
Frederick Douglas's work was autobiographical. Even Alex Haley and Alice Walker have material as Fiction or biographical works. Maybe some poetry would help?
Maya Angelou should be required reading, but it cannot be autobiography, biography or a memoir... and it cannot be fiction. I love her writing.
Maybe that helps...

What you're saying isn't genuine. i like to verify, have been reading lots considering that formative years, all kinds of books. there are an outstanding sort of books by black authors which are not extra picture than the different author. It relies upon on in case you're interior the romance section, of course those books would be lots extra sexually specific. there are a number of white romance authors who're very specific to boot, like Beatrice Smalls. there are a number of black authors who write autobigraphical novels, historic books, and self help books. maximum of those are actually not sexually specific. indexed right here are some black authors you are able to inspect that are many times surprisingly tame and not sexually specific: Iyanla Vanzant selp help books Toni Morrison fiction Maya Angelou autobiography and poetry There are extra, yet i think of that some e book shops might have an exceedingly limited so called African American section, with the main racy novels they are able to looking, not a real image of the enormous variety of novels obtainable.
