Because she is the biggest name in the film and that caught people's attention.
But people claim that the producers of the movie pick which actors are best for what categories, and that if they placed Jennifer Hudson in lead actress she wouldn't win, so they put her in supporting which she really has a great chance to win!
But your right Beyonce is played out and she acted like she had to whisper to sing for deena but isn't it funny she sound's the same???

I think because the movie is based on the Supremes and she plays the Diana Ross part who was the leader of the Supremes.
She doesn't seem embarrassed to me.....during an interview she's just glad the movie was so well received and that Jennifer has bought positive attention to the movie.
Go Jennifer....but Beyonce is a class act.....in my opinion.

Are there any links supporting your question? I don't know where they said that Beyonce was the leading actress. Wherever they did, then they're wrong, because Jennifer's the one who deserved and received the Golden Globes and SAG awards. Beyonce sank down, down, down. So that proves that Jennifer got what she deserved, as did Beyonce, for her self absorbance and arrogance. Eddie Murphy also won, and those two worked their bums off to score some wins, and they did! Good for them, they did it, hurray.

i know. its only because she is beyonce. personally i don't think she desevered the honor of bein nominated for the golden globe and the academy doesn't either cuz she ain't get the nod for the oscar
