I would get her at least a small box of chocolates, a rose and card.
Write in the card:
"This is because I believe in you!"
I would do anyway.

Maybe what she means is that she doesn't like the dumb materialism and she thinks that love is far more important than one day of chocolates and shouldn't be played down that way.

Still, she might feel left out (or disgusted) when she sees everyone around her with materialistic things on Valentines Day.

If I were you, I'd surprise her with something nonmaterial on Valentine's Day. Take her for a walk (if the weather is nice) to something beautiful or special to the two of you, just do something unique to the two of you, sing her her favorite song, something sweet.

Alternately, you can just do nothing!

you got to choices you could ether thanks god and agree with her about the pointlessness of v-day saying you don't need a day where you are forced to show your love to her by giving a tacky card and taking her out for some meal that you are only out on because money making shops and chocolate company's like to tell you to and anyway making your girlfriend happy should happen all through the year. or plan something simple but romantic meal round Ur's candles and flowers up the stairs around the rooms food, nice cuddle film followed by bath together cheap champain the pop always worth it then to the bed bit o a massage shes relaxed cosy the rest is you. say i no you don't believe but you thing shes worth everything even if she doesn't

Hey, just buy her some stuff (sorry to use the "s" word on you, but I don't know what she likes) and send it to her a day before Valentine's Day as a gift, then take her out on Valentine's Day and laugh at the big mushy signs together.

She is being knowledge of your difficulty. So enable her imagine that she has stopped you doing something stupid and purchase her an outstanding little present. earrings do no longer value lots and a card with some very particular chocs can make her really satisfied. The chocs might want to no longer be a large field of food market ones yet say 6 or 12 unique ones from between the professional shops. best of success.

That would suggest she is not going to send you any card etc.

I guess it would be acceptable to let the day pass as any other day in accordance with her beliefs.

However if you really wanted to say you care just buy her some flowers with a card saying "Just to say I care" or "Happy Non Valentine Precious"

Have a great day whatever you decide.

The one day dedicated to romance in a whole year = time to show her that you can change her mind = the art of romance is not dead = little things mean a lot = no need to go overboard = make your mind up if or after you follow this recipe = the answer will then be staring you in the face.

Respect her wishes, guess she loves you too much to have you spend money on her to prove how much you love her just because its Valentines day, I don't believe in it either and I've been married 23 years, I much prefer my hubby to show his love and affection for me all year round because he wants to and not because he thinks he has to on Valentines day only.

She probably secretly wants you to give her attention on the day even if she doesnt know it/ admit to it. Youll probably get more brownie points by surprising her on the day than not. Definately do something--arrange a surprising outing or a puppy from a shelter or something. She'd probably appreciate it! :)

Women speak in riddles. If she said she doesn't want anything for Valentine's, then it means you better get her something nice or else you'll be in the dog house.
