x+2/x+3 + 1/x²+2x-3-1=0

(x+2)/(x+3) + 1/(x^2+2x -3) -1= 0
(x+2)/(x+3) + 1/(x+3)(x-1) = 1
(x+2)(x-1) + 1 = (x+3)(x-1)
x^2+ x - 2 + 1 = x^2 + 2x - 3
x^2+ x - 2 + 1 - x^2 - 2x + 3 = 0
-x +2 = 0
x = 2

Multiply through by x^2:
x^3 + 2x + 3x^2 + 1 + 2x^3 - 3x^2 - x^2
= 3x^3 - 2x^2 + 2x + 1

It depends on where you put your brackets. Here's my answer:

(x + 2)/(x + 3) + 1/(x² + 2x - 3) - 1= 0
(x + 2)/(x + 3) + 1/(x + 3)(x - 1) - 1= 0
x + 2 + 1/(x - 1) - (x + 3) = 0
x + 2 - x - 3 + 1/(x - 1) = 0
-1 +1/(x - 1) = 0
-(x - 1) + 1 = 0
-x + 2 = 0
x = 2
