Wel it depends if the want it to be real you know. Like imagine themselves getting married with them or fantasize about them then yea its weird, but if you think an anime character is cool and u love watching it the no i think its ok. Besides ANIME IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

It all depends upon your definition of the word "love". For instance; I "love" Seiya from "Sailor Moon". Does that mean I wish he were real so I could stalk him in a dark alley and do things to him?? no. I have the same kind of connection for Mai Otome from "Mai Hime" as well.

It's natural to lose yourself in a story so much that you feel the character's personality to the point where it almost seems real; that just means it's a good story and it caters to your liking. I'd start to worry if you frequent the metaphysical section of a bookstore looking for a specific book in an attempt to make the inanimate fantasy an animate reality. Then yea, perhaps you might want to take a breather.

No.
It's totally okay ^.^
And as some people stated above, I think we'd only need to worry is if you started making out with pics of the characters, your tv, etc. etc.

Besides that, when I love an anime character, I try to imagine how they might react to certain characters in certain settings, and normally that's how I begin to get ideas for my short stories I write. It gives me the satisfaction of daydreaming about something I enjoy and inspires me to draw/write. So I really don't think you need to worry about it.

Personally, it pisses me off when people simply say "You're a freak; immature; you need help; you're a mental case". Honestly, I don't get what they're problem is with liking characters--it's not like we escaped from the mental ward or something. I myself love Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach and L from Death Note, I know they aren't real, but I still enjoy imagining what it would be like if they were real and how'd they'd react to my friends ^.^

Of course not. where did u get that? I love anime characters. Inuyasha is pretty cool too. There is nothing weird about loving an anime or manga character. Ive loved lots like Hyde from Konjiki no Gash Bell, Brick Boomer Butch from demashita! PPGZ, Shikamaru from Naruto etc. etc. My friend loves Athren (s/p?) from gundam. so trust me there is nothing wrong or weird about loving an anime character.

Everybody’s had a crush on a toon or an anime before. You grow out of it in time. No biggie.

If you love as in obsession to the point of making out with a picture of them, yes.

Other wise, you see girls with crushes on Sasuke, as mentioned earlier.
