Alrighty it's like this my brother's fience(we'll call her Jill) came over to our house with her family. And it turns out her brother has a huge giant crush on me....((Aparently when they came back home he couldn't stop talking about me....)) and I told my friend and she says EW because we are soon to be related. Are we technaquilly(sp?) related when my brother and Jill get married? I wouldn't think so. Honestly tell me what you think.

Brothers and sisters can marry a brother/sister from another family... it is rather cool because your children and your brothers children will be double cousins.... it happens a lot.... here in my community there are 3 sets of double cousins. One set is where twin brothers married twin sisters of another family.... all their children look alike... its pretty cool because 1. they are a super close family 2. the cousins are all the same ages so they have it made at school 3. when they have a family reunion almost everyone in the community is invited...... go for it, especially if he has a super personality and is cute to boot.

No it is not wrong. I know 2 brothers who married 2 sisters. Your brother will be his brother in law but you will not be related to him in any way.

You can go out with him and I see only one problem that may arise. It is this. If you get in a relationship with the guy and then YOU marry then your brother will now also be your brother-in-law and you his sister-in-law and your husband would be your brother-in-law and your sister in law would still be your sister in law . Then you may have kids and the dad would be his uncle as your husband is your brothers brother-in-law and and and if you became an mom you would be the aunt...I think....darn, I am giving myself a headache !

You aren't related now, why would that change just because your brother marries his sister? If you like each other, then go out and see where this goes.

Go for it. It's not wrong. My cousin Narelle met Colin, then Narelle's dad met Colin's mum and they ended up getting married. So for all you know he could be the 1 for you. Don't let people make you feel bad. It's not wrong. Your not blood related only through marriage.

Well, it wouldn't make him anything to you, not even an in-law (he wouldn't necessarily be called your brother in-law). If you do get together I hope it works out because it would be very awkward at family functions if it did not.

I have known a number of romances that occurred in this very same fashion. You will be in-laws - not blood related. It is totally acceptable and okay - that is - if you are equally interested in him.
