Yes haunted houses are real , I have a resident entity in my house.. Just down the road from me is a former Manse and it boasts 5 entities.. Just a small point here , sometimes you may think your house is haunted but it isn't . What has happened is the previous owners loved their house so much they have left a bit of themselves behind , like a fingerprint in time. This energy is sometimes manifest and you see a ghost. Not all ghosts are what they appear to be. The fingerprint in time energy for example happens all over the world , as people have witnessed battles fought hundreds sometimes thousands of years ago. There are many books out on this subject. Good luck with your project

i personally think they do but nowhere near the extent that is depicted in todays society.

Of course THE most haunted house (allegedly) is the one on Ocean Drive, AMityville. I wont elaborate the story but even if the place isnt really haunted the story behind it is enough to chill you to the bone go to crimelibrary.com and search for Amityville for the complete story..

The best bit about doing this for your assignment? A movie was done in 2006 based on this story so you can watch movies as part of your "research" which is a big bonus imho

I believe haunted houses are real. Do some research. I have several books which consists of real ghost stories, real stories of people living in haunted houses or apartments, or visiting haunted locations and of their encounters. Really fascinating stuff. Perhaps check with your library for books about hauntings in the nonfiction area.

Yes, houses, open areas (such as fields), anyplace can be "haunted". I've read the answers here and I have to tell ya, there is an inkling of truth in them all. I can elaborate to the point of being considered insane, but I'm just another indian. I've seen the "fingerprints of ' inocents' and I've seen others' walk in thier sleep ' when their bodies are still in bed. I'v seen the .......( many things)

I dont think houses or buildings are haunted.
I think that People are haunted.
That people are followed by someone they cared for because the spirit hasnt crossed over to the other side yet and they won't until they have closure.
