It is something they have to do no matter what. I worked at a preschool and anything that happened we had to file. It's pretty much to save their butt in the long run.

Oddly enough, that seems to be an American thing. In Europe, they are more free about the human body. I was in Italy some years ago and learned this by observing and through a conversation with my cousin who lives there. Here in the US the body is treated as "forbidden fruit" and it is a normal reaction to covet what is regarded as forbidden. A topless bar in Europe is unheard of. Women don't wear bras and all beaches are topless. It just isn't a big deal, where here it's like the end all, be all. Interesting.

No, they're not making a big deal out of it. They're protecting themselves against any liability. Sometimes, when you fall, it may take days for an injury to manifest itself. Anything from a pinched nerve to something more serious. In fact, some states require such incidents to be reported for insurance purposes.

The accident report was filed to document the details of your fall. Just in case, you may need any medical attention in the future or if you were to file a lawsuit. It's for your protection as well.

YEA they are making a big deal out of it!! All you did was fall. If you were crying or in pain and told someone thenyou could have gone to the nurse, but you went even when you were not hurt!!

I think they are making a big deal over nothing. If you are visibly fine and you feel ok,there was no reason for them to file an incident report, unless you felt badly injured and they saw the marks and bruises.

They are just making a big deal.......don't worry.
Have you heard of that kid that brought a butter knife to school for his lunch? He was in Kindergarten and his parents were sued.
Losers.

My school is so freakin strict we have to have black, grey, or white shoes. We wear white polo, and black dress pants. And we get detention if our shirt tail is not tucked in.

And our principle doesn't let us out of school for snow.
Many times this year (and last) we were the only school in the ccity that was in school.

They do all this crap, then win this NCLB award for 2006. Now they just show that off.

Luckily, Im in Junior High. I wanna go to High School

Bus drivers MUST report any accidents on their bus - the driver is just doing what he is supposed to do.

It's because you're a girl, if it was a guy it wouldn't have been that much of a big deal, but because girls are more easily to get hurt when they fall, people worry more.
