Well first of all that night she should have put ice on it for sure, but since it is now Monday and the bump is still there, she probably has swelling and inflammation inside her, whether that is inside her scull or just under her scalp, I cant tell from here, she might have a mild concusion. She really needs to speak to a nurse to see if she needs to be seen by a doctor - ask a nurse - I found this site when searching for help with my daughter's viral infection - www.ehealthconnection.com with the ph#(419) 226-9000 or (800) 437-4827 - I found them very helpful with my delima. Some thing she can try in the meanwhile is aleve (sodium naproxen), it is a pain killer and an anti-inflammatory (reduces swelling) as well as a mild muscle relaxer. Dont take too many though, always follow the directions on the back. Also she can try some sage, maybe as a warm tea or a cold wet compress. Acupressure and hands on healing sometimes work for such things as well. Do make sure she takes care of that. God Bless.

Ice and cold compresses reduce swelling. No heat. Since it happened friday AND it's on his head, you might want to get him to a doctor. Especially if he's in pain or acting confused. You can get a concussion and not even know it. Head trauma isnt something to take lightly. Hope he feels better.

depends on how big the bump is. try icing it. if it does not go away within a couple days she should probably get it checked out. Sometimes athletes have to have blood bruises drained out by poking it open and letting it bleed. but don't worry it probably isn't that serious

You should put some ice packs on the bump, but if it still doesn't go down or if she starts to feel sick and starts to have headaches then she should go to the doctor.
