your question is fuzzy.

Everything that you create is automatically copyrighted. Copyright law protects your rights even if you dont attach a "(c) 2007 Your Name".

There is almost no way to prevent it. Maybe you can free your content saying that it is public domain. This way, anyone will be able to use it without the burden of having to ask you for permission.

Other strategy is to licence your work under a free-content license such as GNU FDL (Free Documentation License). This is the case of the whole Wikipedia project (and other similar projects). These free-content licenses state that anybody can freely use, modify and redistribute the licensed content, but they must license their derivative work under the same license, so that the freedom to improve the work is guaranteed, and your work wont ever be locked up.

The possibilities described above are some possible arrangements of your intelectual property and all of them are protected by copyright law. Maybe it is not exactly what you wanted to know, but I expect to have helped you some way.

For instance, even if it was not the point of your question, take a look at the links below. These things are important in the Internet era. They will help you to figure out how to better fit your copyright policy to your intentions related to your work.

good luck!
