Wow, I'm surprised at how many people actually have this piercing, yet know nothing about it.

I have my cartilage double-pierced (2 holes right next to each other), on my right ear. The piercing itself doesn't hurt much; the pain factor is comparable to the earlobe. (I have an extremely low pain tolorance, so for me to say 'it doesn't hurt much' is a pretty big deal.)
Anyway.
If you're going to have your cartilage pierced, PLEASE go to a professional. I'd reccomend a tattoo parlor, or something along those lines. Please, just don't settle for a Piercing Pagoda, or some store in the mall. Most of their employees are giggly little 16 year old girls who've never held a piercing gun in their life.
Furthermore, if someone tries to pierce your cartilage with a 'piercing gun' - leave the store. A professional will pierce your cartilage with a NEEDLE, not a gun. There are actually dangers in using a gun... Cracking the cartilage, hitting a nerve or blood vessel, etc etc.

Before you decide to get any sort of piercing or tattoo, make sure you know exactly what you want, where you want it, and fully educate yourself about the risks, factors, healing times, and everything else.

Good luck!

I basically were given ears pierced those days ( i'm a teenager) and it did not harm in any respect. youthful children make a large deal out of it in spite of the undeniable fact that it change into no longer something more effective then a pinch. To me, i did not even experience it somewhat. I stay interior the u . s ., yet I were given mine finished at claire's. human beings say this is undesirable to get them finished there, yet i have mines over a year now and that i had no issues by any potential. basically see you later as you sparkling them desirable you received't get any infections. human beings say that needles are more effective powerful, yet I were given mines with a gun. i think guns are faster. I do propose getting your ears pierced, because i really do like having the ability to positioned on earrings.

Yes! I was hesitant about getting mine done, but I love it.
I was afraid it would hurt, but actually the lady said it hurts less than a regular ear piercing, and she was totally right! It is a little tender afterwards, but not too much...it's worth it in the long run, I love my cartilage piercing.
