It kind of depends on what a lot of money is to you. You can become a Mary Kay consultant and own your own business for $100 (plus s & h). Inventory is optional but can start with as little as $200. Once you get started you make 1/2 of everything that you sell and then have the opportunity to earn commissions if you choose to recruit other consultants. On average you will make $30/hr starting out.

The most successful business to be in is in Health, Wellness and Anti Aging. For less than $200 and great deal of motivation and work, you could be earning good money and it is also residual. The product is effective for prevention of disease and has medical validation including 79 clinical studies on "pubmed.gov" where the doctors read up on it. It also has a 90 days money back guarantee (empty bottles). E-mail be if you would like to give it a try.

A service industry like computer repair, lawn-care, pool cleaning, dog-walking etc. Provided you have the skills and the tools, you are in business. See the link to a useful book.

Remember: these types of business are limited by your ability to find clients and the hours you are prepared to work. Most people find it easier to work at a job. If you can increase your skills or get credentials i.e pass exams you can charge more for your services.

Check with your local authority on whether you will need a business license.

It really depends what you want to do, and where your strengths lie. My wife and I have worked for the same company for 6 years and had no regrets. The startup cost was roughly 600 dollars, of which we earned back within 2 months. That said the most important thing is that all of this came with a money back guarantee anyway, so we did not have the worry of losing our intial investment. I am a jewelry dealer from Bangkok, Thailand. I need to fine someone who might want to do home base business without financial back up. All you need is a website that you can post my items for sales. You do the selling, receiving the money. I do the shipping – drop ship. If you are interested in working together, send me a note. I have PayPal account for this business.

I would say probably the one for being a public notary. I heard it is a maximum of 150 dollars for the seal and all the other stuff needed for it or like 40 dollars just for the seal. I do not know if you need an office to run that business, though.

become a distributor of something. I like window treatments (blinds). Here's what you do. Call manufactures and get samples. Then go around to people you know first, and ask them if they want custom blinds. You learn to measure, show the samples, order the blinds, and when they come in, either you install, or hire someone to do it.

Some manufacturers are
Hunter Douglas
Bali
Levelor
Woodland
