Japanese, Koreans (to a lesser degree since the Korean War), and Chinese are all very concerned with the purity of their races. It's not so much that they hate others, they simply do not believe that we are as good as they are.

The Emperor is descended from the Sun, after all. The sun rises first in the whole world on Japan.

I don't know that they are any more prejudiced than any other ethnic group. I have witnessed prejudice against American Indians, Japanese, Blacks, us "crackers," and more.

I have known Japanese that have married blacks, but they were always looked down upon. Their marriage was a wonderful witness to the power of God in their lives.

The Japanese have a native cultural group called the Ainii, a people group that was in Japan before the "Japanese" migrated to the islands from Korea. The Ainii must register with the government, and failure to register can be disaster. Before a couple can marry, both families will research the other family to make sure there is no hint of Ainii blood anywhere in the records; if there is, then the wedding is off.

I found this stuff out while I was stationed in Japan for 13.5 years in the USAF.

Japan has really opened up since the last 40 years! Lol there are black women dating and married to Japanese men and black (usually dark skinned) men married or dating Japanese women. Many stereotypes for people are outdated, remember that.

I do not want this to sound racist, but there is some cultural connotation to this. I believe love can be stronger than anything, but Japanese culture, although does not directly put negative connotation to blacks, that is some stigma. Like any culture, there is always a race or races that comes with stereotype. If it is true love there, then nothing will break it.

Do you do everything that your culture thinks is right? I am positive that a Japanese person or man has married out of their culture. There family may not have supported him but love conquers all.

I don't know, but I hope it's not against culture. People who are in love should be free to marry.

It would probably cause much more of an uproar a century ago, but as more and more mixed race couples are seen in the media today, people feel more freedom in choosing who they love.

Sure. My ex-boyfriend's father is Japanese and his mother is black.

That's a very beautiful mix, by the way. They had one very attractive son, let me tell you.
