I've got combination skin, there's lots of black and white heads around my eyes, nose and chin area. Have been to facial but doesnt seem to help much..also i've tried at least 6 brands of foundation + 2-way cake powder and also those sales gals in the cosmestic dept juz apply alittle bit of foudation(which they think is the correct shade) on my forehead..so in the end the shade always doesnt match with my skin tone. Just wanna know out there which brands of foundation is reliable and suitable for my skin type.

I just went on the search for the perfect foundation, and I'm deciding between 2 at the moment: Bobbi Brown oil free liquid foundation, and Laura Mercier oil free liquid foundation.
I learned from experience (the hard way) NOT to get suckered into any decision right after the makeup counter gal tells you which shade is "perfect" for you. I'd get home, apply it myself, and as soon as I was in natural light (like in the car mirror) I'd see that it was NOT the right shade. Or, I'd see a picture taken of myself and realize my lovely face was a shade lighter than my neck. You really need to "live" with the foundation a while... put it on yourself, etc. before you make the decision about whether to shell out $40 for it.

So--right off the bat I tell the makeup counter lady that I am not making a purchase today. I ask if she'd try a few on my face and that I'd like her suggestions on the 2 closest matches to my skin. Then I ask for a small sample of each shade. Ask for her card and say that if you do choose to purchase you will use her name. Then they will still spend some time for you, but right off the bat the pressure is off, and you won't feel bad just walking away with the samples to try at home. Laura Mercier doesn't have pre-made samples, but they will put a bit in a small container for you if you ask them to.
Perfect example---I loved the Laura foundation in the store yesterday, but today in natural light I think it's a shade to dark. If I had jumped the gun, I'd have a $40 bottle of the wrong foundation sitting in my room. Instead I have a second sample to try tomorrow morning and see how that goes.

By the way---I have acne prone skin and Bobbi Brown (which I've been using a sample for the past 3 weeks) has not given me any problems---Laura Mercier has a great reputation as far as acne prone skin goes too. They are $$$ but they are 2 of the best out there. Good luck with your search! :)

I also have combination skin. This is what I have found lately that works great! I started 4 days ago with the Neutrogena Home Microdermabrasion Kit. Follow the directions carefully. The difference in my complexion is amazing. For foundation I like the Loreal Mineral powder or even better, I love the Alexis Vogel cream foundation tri. It comes with three different shades that you can blend to match your skin tine perfectly. It is expensive but so worth it. You can get the light or dark trio occasionally on ebay for pretty cheap. Hope this helps!

OK.... here are the basic steps to covering your facial flaws with a good foundation that looks beautiful:

1. get clinique foundation and liquid cover up. to find your foundation and cover up color, go to the clinique make up counter and get assisted by an employee that will help you. also get clinique powder- find the skin tone for that too.

2. apply the powder first, as a bottom layer. next, apply the cover up on the blotchy, irritated areas and dab on. now, add another bit of powder on those reas, but not the other areas of you first- don't over do it and blend it in so it looks even.

3. now, put on the foundation with a reliable brush to apply it, like ELF brushes. put small amounts on each of your cheeks, cheek bone areas, forehead, chin, nose, underneath your eyes, and where ever you need it. blend it in and add a bit of powder. your done!!! you won't break out as long as you use make up remover.

Well, first of all, in order for yr skin to look fair and nice, u need to take care of the basic stuff first. In yr case, try scrub or exfoliating masks to get rid of black heads. Don't forget toner/lotion too. Then try putting on some base(don't use too much) make sure when u put them on, give time for it to be absorbed into yr skin otherwise u'll get lumps. I use MAC foundation-one's they use at catwalk shows. I use one thats my skin color cuz i like to look natural. But to remind u it's oily stuff(not oily oily~it's matt finish but when u put water, it slides off) for more natural look I wet the sponge before I put my foundation on. by the way, it's liquid foundation-poweror twincake makes yr skin look soft and matt but can look dry and sometimes, if yr in bad condition, it looks really bad. Ask staff members to help u!

I merely study that takeover bid besides. it extremely is a ability grab via Microsoft so a procedures as i'm worried, and it stands out as the worst situation to happen to Yahoo in the event that they adjust to it. Microsoft has already gained the conflict of the browsers, using fact Netscape is being discontinued. Why do they could acquire yet another seek portal whilst they already have their own? certainly one of those situation could be fairly disappointing. the two my cyber web sites have been hosted on Geocities (which replace into as quickly as self reliant yet is now run via Yahoo) for years. as much as i might hate to achieve this, if the deal is going by, on concept i visit circulate the internet sites to a different service.

you should try mineral foundation, its not heavy and it covers well. if you want a glowy look, try Bare Minerals ($24). but if you want a matte natural look try Everyday Minerals ($12) [everyday minerals also has glow, semi-matte, and intensive]. I know Everyday Minerals has free samples you can get to try it out. Mineral make up is made up from like 4 minerals so it isn't going to irritate your skin.
