Their style of dress: all matching suits and snazzy jackets made dressing nicely seem just fine. In those days, jeans were not acceptable dress for an outing.

The music was definitely 'hotter' and more acceptable to the young, who loved the catchy rhythms for dancing. I was one of those 'young.'

TV was beginning to show Bill Haley, and the following bands, to a wide audience, and the dancing girls and boys on the stages (audience members sometimes) showed new 'moves' to the TV audience, who then practiced at home and did the dances in the clubs and dance halls (Friday and Sat nights)

Pointed shoes for men were brought in at that time I think - not sure.

They started the Rock and Roll movement and revolutionized dancing as a pleasant past time they livened it up and produced a whole new way of dancing. It was quite a revelation to watch the girls spin and see their panties and petticoats swirl out this was something new and many of us went home and did naughty dreams and things .

they were so bad that it put people of off music,without a doubt the most corniest period of music ever,and then "thank god ,along came the beatles",but now we are back to trash music,not the same as haley but trash just the same.
