I have been part of many companies that have laid off their employees and offshored or outsourced their jobs to other countries where there is no minimum wage laws and provide cheap, but not necessarily better labor. Products usually come out with less quality and more defects. It sucks for the rest of us in the US because it makes it that much harder for us to find a decent job. Makes you wonder in the end what will happen to the US when everything is nearly outsourced and there is nothing left to cut.

You may be thinking about jobs offshore or outsourcing jobs.
If it is outsourcing jobs, it is nothing else than the big companies wanting to have more profit and have some people that are awake while some people here in America are sleeping. This is done normally sending the jobs to people in India, Indonesia, or some country in Asia, where the labor is cheaper, compared to the labor in the USA. It may affect the rest of us who do not have those jobs if and only if we could get those jobs at all.
Personally, I would love to talk to someone who understands and speaks English pretty well than to someone who sometimes does not even understand what I am saying, is not knowledgeable enough and puts me on hold for most of the time.

Offshoring jobs are jobs that are moved to less developed countries. Such jobs are telephone help lines and many duties. It done because its alot cheaper to employ someone in india than it is in the u.s. Think about it in many countries you don't have to have services such as paying taxes on employees etc.

It has some affects to those who don't have those jobs. Mainly it makes things cheaper for us, because if they employee is cheaper the product is cheaper.

Offshoring has had major affects on people who do have those jobs. Many people in america are getting fired, and their job is offshored to someone who gets paid a 1/3 as much.
