The host cities make a bid for the Superbowl much like the Olympics or political conventions. It is worth plenty to the host city and the NFL gets paid handsomely for going to a particular place.

Cities with a stadium with a minimum amount of seats, I think it's like 100,000, make bids to the NFL to have the Super Bowl in that stadium. Weather has nothing to do with it.

i have a list....but i threw it away. LOL. i remember a couple though
-65,000 seats at least
-Room for 40 TV trucks and 10 photo trucks
-50 degree wheather During February unless playing in a doom
- Plenty of room for fans to walk around and attend special events.
- Plenty of hotels for NFL Teams, Coaches, and Fans

imprettys sure its randomly selected, but it has to be in a city that has warm weather such as Miami or somewhere in the south, or it can also be held somewhere that has a domed stadium
