For those that own Vista, have you had any complications? I am thinking about upgrading and would like to know what to expect if it is worth the buy.

I switched back to Windows XP because of compatibility issues. Mostly with work related applications, in particular, VPN software.

I also ran into problems with my ATI TV tuner card but it was compatible with my other computer using a Hauppauge TV tuner card.

I think Vista is a better OS. It has better networking and detects other computers are the network better than XP every did. I also prefer the interface but it took me a while to get used to. My video card wouldn't support Aero so I have no opinion on the aesthetic enhancements.

It seemed to boot up faster but I'm not sure if this is just because it was a clean install with no software bogging it down. When I reloaded XP it still seemed a little sluggish but not sure (hard to say without actual numbers) but I remember reading that Vista was slightly (very slightly) better in loading up.

I also like the power management features.

However, I would wait. It'll be a few months before all the major bugs get ironed out and there's really no killer apps on Vista ONLY enabled systems. It'll take time .... so you can wait it out.

definately worth the buy you have more security on its internet browser (keep in mind i said browser) than you do in a fully updated windows xp computer i mean the whole vista system combines security in technology into one great item you should def. by this o.s. or you could switch to (mac ox 10 lepoard)

don't buy Vista yet
there arn't enough stuff out there to work with it
It is still extremely buggy
and barely any (if any at all) drivers for it.
