Did you ever notice that the "silly" questions on Yahoo! Q&A seem to attract a lot more attention and responses than the more serious issue-oriented questions? Why do you think this is so? Just wondering. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Some people are looking for mindless entertainment. They really don't want to have to think. Sometimes I find myself cruising past questions that really get my interest, but for whatever reason, I am feeling lazy and don't want to put forth the effort. Also, I think SOME people really do not have the intellectual capacity to get "too deep" (not saying that I am all that smart--I accept that I am moderately intelligent). Also, I think age is a factor. Teens are usually pretty easy to spot.

People have a tendancy to respond more to the things that the see in themselves. We live in a world full of satire and sarcasm. Nobody takes anything seriously anmore.

Probably because when we respond to a silly question we
don't need to elaborate an answer or make a research to
answer that question.

That's a no-brainer--literally. It doesn't take any brains to answer the silly questions! :)
