When the monitor shows "no signal" it means there is no information being fed, like the computer is off, or disconnected from the monitor. If you want to buy a WIN98 disc, you will have to buy it from a second hand retailer. Licenced Windows dealers cannot legally sell that programme any more because of the age. But, anybody that has one can loan it to you or copy it for you. It is past the date that it can be called piracy. Same for 95 and ME. Don't try it with XP. As it is a current programme, that definitely comes under piracy laws.

If your diaplay says "no signal" chances are the cable came loose in the back of your computer. Either that or the video card INSIDE your computer is not seated properly and has to be secured.

As far as windows 98 goes, there probably is in fact places to download it on the internet but i would not trust it. People could have modified the code or added viruses then distribute it on the net as a joke.

I once has a person who used a version downloaded off the net and the internet explorer program was modified to send personal information to another computer periodically.

Your best bet is this link for the best prices in old and new versions of windows :) You can buy Windows98 for 7$

No Signal means the monitor is not receiving a signal to display from your video card.
Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition can be downloaded from either or Ares and Limewire file share sites.
