Don't they believe that the president will tell us what we need to know?
Why can't the Dems just shut up and support the president however he chooses to use the troops?
Aren't they his troops to use as he sees fit?

Actually, they are the United States military, not the Bush Army. Democrats insist on discussing the Iraq War because its their job, and the President didn't really do a fine job of "telling us what we need to know" back before this war began (remember WMDs?) A government where the elected leaders don't discuss what is arguably the most important event of the day is mildly reminiscent of the one we overthrew in Iraq.

1. Because that's what Congress does.
2. No. He has lied/obfuscated in the past. To quote Bush, "fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
3. "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." --Theodore Roosevelt
4. No, the troops are not his own private army.

The past 4 years haven't gone exactly as planned. Some may think adding soldiers is the right course. Putting politics aside don't you think there should be some actual discussion on how to handle this matter?

well, its because they think that it will defeat the republicans.
they hate america, and what it stands for, they despise the troops and anything that stands for the strength of america. Mainly because they have an underlying guilt complex.
The democrats do not and never will offer real solutions to the problems on an international level.

Their solutions are tax and spend, take away freedoms and reduce the country into a socialist compound. and talk... and then talk some more.

Isn't that what Hilary wants to do? "Let's talk, let's chat a little while and get to know each other" while she slithers her hand behind you and takes away what freedoms we have left.

Most likely they will comport to the leftist/socialist wills of Hugo"Fidel" Chavez and will also play into the hands of Ahmadinejad by trying to "dialogue" and have bilateral, trilateral and quadrilateral talks with them and with North Korea.

I have been discussing Iraq ever since Bush the Liar was denying that there were plans on his desk to attack that country. Not that I'm a Dem; but of course this dishonest, self-serving prick of a hick isn't going to tell us what we need to know.

In fact, he'll try to have charges filed against anyone who actually does tell us what we need to know.

That's the name of his game: deny, cover-up, fudge, fabricate, suppress.......

No, that's only true if they voted for him. Like when Clinton sent troops to Bosnia and promised to have them home in 6 weeks, no, 6 months, no, before he left office----and they're still there---that was OK. They were his troops as Commander and Chief to use as he saw fit and he told us what we needed to know--and that was right and OK, but they didn't vote for this President and so they won't support him. That's how Democracy works for them. And they call Republicans spoiled.
