It seems that for any ideology, such as religious, national or political, there is an extreme point where killing people becomes justified. I would say that ideological environmentalism is not fundamentally different; there must, therefore, be a point where human damage to the environment could be taken by extremists as justification for mass murder. So, what is it going to take for people to be driven to cull the oil executives and SUV drivers?
(Please don't take this the wrong way. It should not be taken that this is something that I want to happen, nor should it be taken that I wholly reject environmentalism. It is merely the case that I reject its extemes.)

There is a movement called NPG for Negative Population Growth or Negitive Planet Growth that wants roughly 4 billion people gone in 20 years. There are some who want the extreme view, but luckily not many do.

I believe it has already happened, although ( I hope ) not on purpose. There have been some fires set by extreme environmentalists to auto dealerships, logging companies, earth-moving equipment and the like. It seems to me that there have been some injuries, if not fatalities resulting from these acts. The funny thing is that the pollution from a dealership full of SUV's going up in flames far outweighs the amount of pollution the vehicles would have put out if they have merely been sold and driven.

I don't think they will. The ones I know and know of wish to protect all living things. The worst I've heard them say is that they would like to ban all automobiles.
As for destroying human life, I fear it could be done by Mother Earth herself--look at the flooding in Indonesia, the droughts in Africa, etc. etc. If what scientists predict about global warming comes true, the environment itself will become less people friendly.

It's only a matter of time,in fact one could argue that they already doing it since they support abortion so stronly,just think of all the environmental damage all those children would have done. I'll bet they just love thinking of all those babies being ripped from their wombs.

Killing people is already justified, look at what people do to animals. Its no different to kill and eat a human than to kill and eat an animal just not socially acceptable is all. Humans have justified murder.
