I liked Beechnut. It had less stuff in it than Gerber and Delmonte. If you read the ingredients, you will see that Beechnut is more simple......the ingredients are just the fruit, veggies, and/or meats, nothing else. That was only up to the stage 2's. After that, mine quit eating baby food. She hated stage 3, no matter who made it.

I personally believe that if the baby is 6 months and under than Gerber is the way to go. After that, Beech Nut is fine.

That depends on how much you want to spend because Gerber baby food is a little more up there in cost for baby food. But if your just starting your baby on baby food try them both and see which one you baby like more.

I always got them both because there were some fruits or other types of baby food that one had and the other one didn't like the Hawaiian delight my little girl loved that one but Gerber was the only one who made it. So I guess it all depends on what your baby likes.

The best food is actually breastfeeding! 100% of what your baby needs and free to boot.

When your baby is ready for solids, how about making your own? It's cheaper and often easier. I was pretty broke in those days and just mashed stuff up. Mashed potatoes (carrots, peas, squash), mashed bananas (or any ripe fruit for that matter), beans, regular applesauce (try the unsweetened). Smooshed eggs come a bit later. Making your own is great, there are less preservative and additives. All you need is a fork to mash stuff.

I'm a daycare teacher, and have been for 3 years now. We only serve Gerber. Their food is better quality, and with their "Fresh-lock" system, you can be sure that the food is fresh, and not contaminated. Hope this helps!

I bought whatever was on sale and my son never seemed to have a preference. Read the ingredients, or try a few of each brand, this is something really learned by trial and error.

I personally used Gerber for my son. I would find deals on it and buy it in bulk. But in reality its all about what you are comfortable feeding your little one. Good luck

Would you eat processed food three meals a day every day? Then why feed your child that?

Stop being a sucker to the babyfood marketing engine, feed your baby REAL food the way mother nature intended:
