I was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 in September of last year. This is Type 1, not Type 2. I have a healthy diet...somehow, all I eat is junkfood, I weigh about 125 lbs, this type is the one you just get. They are'nt sure why yet.

Anyway. Ever since I got it, all people want to do is talk to about they have a history of Diabetes in their family, how scared they are to get it, when did I get it, why did I get, they watch me test my blood sugar, stare in disbelief when I shoot insulin into my arms, then ask me about how many times I shoot it, every last f'in detail. I easily accepted the fact that I had it, I must have shed two tears at the most, but I don't want to hear that word uttered from everyone in my presence. It's like that is all I am to these people. I'm always asked how i'm doing, which I understand, they care.

But what would make them think I want to talk about it? Am I crazy?

Oh, here come the tears♥

No they bring it up anyway...

And I don't want attention. I don't need to post something like this for attention, this is a serious question.

Most people grew up hearing not about Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, but rather Juvenile Diabetes (now better known as Type 1) and 'granny's' Diabetes, sometimes called age-onset diabetes or Type 2. And with Type 2 Diabetes, there is the level of Diabetes where you simply take an oral or inhaled medication (my mom used to be on Diabenease (not sure of the spelling), but now has progressed to require insulin. The term Juvenile Diabetes (IMHO), was shelved in favor of listing it as Type 1 when younger and younger patients were coming down with Type 2 due to weight, diet and exercise issues. As you can tell, there are different levels to both types of Diabetes. This would be a perfect time for you to (calmly) explain the differences. The media just parrots what is the loudest hype.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

aw!! there there! if something is bothering u, u should speak up! say "i prefir not to dwell on the negative" or "its only when i talk about it that i get upset" u dont even have to find the right words just say the truth "this is bothering me". im sure they r not trying to be mean they will understand! dont cry! *hugz from joey* ♥

ps: if they dont listen to u, that doesnt mean u have to stay in a situation that is making u upset or uncomfortable. if they wont stop talking about it, stop the conversation, walk away, or start a new subject. if they are not concerned with ur feelings, then its extra important that u are, *blush* i hope this helps!!

Well Natalie, you know that there are people on here, such as me who care about, and everyone around, them, hey its sorta like one big family, but not to be known . . hehe. Its a personal thing that has been brought up in you who can choose to say it privately or publicly. Its a matter of making choices and depending on the people who believe. Getting diabetes isn't the end of the world its something a lot of people get and are going to have to live with it, its again, a matter of life. So you can more on with your life and hope for the best, not to let things be torn down, and break up, its life, and there are going to be hard times like that, and you are special, you get to witness what it is like to have something "different" about you.

When I was 3 i was "diagnosed hearing loss, which has change my life dramatically, but not in a way that i can't hear, i can hear, i have about 50/50 in both ears. But anyways i though when i was first got to really understand about it, i woudl always come home from school break down in tears and say and scream, why or why was it me that god had to choose for me to have hearing loss, it wasn't untill i found out, it was the doctors fault, who had dropped me . . .(hehe) and i hit the side of my head that was where the hearing part of your brain was. But over the years i have to get hearing test in my ears to understand the changes of growing up and it could get worst . . .But now i relized, everyone has a problem with them selves. Not to be shown completley, see ihave the problme that can be shown becasue I have hearing aids.

But you have something that is shown in the inside. So its nothign really to be ashamed of, but its something that need to be watched and aventually be fixed, good luck! Hope this helped!

Ouch, my hands hurt bad . . .hehe

In the same boat as you. Folks don't really understand what it is, and don't think that someone may not want to be reminded everytime they turn around that you have it. If they find out someone has it, they are gonna ask questions.
