I have one toddler and am pregnant again, and right at the beginning of the pregnancy I found my hair was thinning dramatically. I'm not even 30 yet. I was always prepared, even looking forward to going grey but I never expected to lose my hair!!
Has this happened to anyone? It's not genetic, I think it's stress or nutrition related.
If this happened to you did it grow back eventually when your kids got a little less physically demanding?? or did you stay balding ???
Thanks.

My guess is that its to do with hormone changes from the pregancy. After my 2 kids my hair was falling out all over the place....but it was because the hormones changes caused the hair follicules to die...but my hair grew back. If it gets really bad like if u actually start going bald...then i'd see the doc....otherwise just wait till the baby is born as it might grow back

It's hormones and it will get better after the birth of your next child. Stick w/ the prenatal vitamins and you will notice that your hair lose will become less and less. every woman I know who has had a baby has gone thru the same thing.

after I had my first child I lost a lot of hair, but while your pregnant you produce something that keeps you from losing the hair we normally lose on a daily basis. but it could be stress. ask at your next Drs appt.

this happens to alot of women during and after pregnancy, it is strictly hormonal and most likely your hair will grow back. be sure to take your prenatal vitamins they help with hair growth.

Stress is definitly a cause of hair loss or thining. I suggest you find ways to relax as much as you can.

Another leading cause for hair thining is a thyriod problem. Talk to your doctor. He/she can send you blood tests to find out if it is your thyroid.
