Yes, but you have to watch out for this:

Here's the deal... The government came out with birth control so that women can have lots of sex without having to worry about getting pregnant. But, they faily to tell the population that you are in fact becomming pregnant and just having miniature miscarriages. AT LEAST THOSE WOMEN WHO ARE OVULATING MORE THAN ONCE A MONTH. If you know you ovulate more than once a month, you will realize that some periods are more painful than others - due to the fact that you are indeed becomming pregnant and the birth control kills the pregnancy. Everyone is different, but this is the reason why I stopped taking birth control. I was becomming pregnant and then I was terminating the baby. I did this for almost 2 years, i'll be lucky if I ever have kids. So far I have had 1 unsucessful attempt.

Are you talking about taking the birth control PILL?
there are many other forms of birth control and they don't all work 100%.
It is recommended to always use a condom anyway as a second barrier for pregnancy and the only barrier for some STDs.
If you are getting birth control you need to go to a doctor for it and s/he would be the appropriate person to ask this question.
I'm sure there are pamphlets at clinics you could read as well.
If you are really confused then maybe it's not the right option for you at this time in your life. Maybe you should discuss your confusion with your boyfriend. Having unprotected sex is a huge step not just in a relationship but in a person's life. Think about it first. Make sure this is really what YOU want and not just what you know your boyfriend wants from you.
Good Luck.

No it does not mean that you will not get pregnant. All forms of birth control still have a chance of not working. The only way that you cannot get pregnant is if you do not have sex, and your boyfriend he can pull out. It seems like you may not be old enough to have sex if you are asking this question, in other words maybe u should not be doing it if you are not ready to have a child. . although I do have to say that I am glad that you are trying to figure it out before actually doing it. Please make sure u are safe and always always use a condom. even if you are on the pill.

Theoretically, yes. However, there is a slim chance that even when taking the birth control pill a woman can get pregnant. Especially if she does not take it properly, or is on antibiotics. Go ahead and get the pill if you want, but to be on the safe side, use a condom as well.

I've known lots and lots of people who have got pregnant on birth control so it might help but, it is not 100%. And getting pregnant should not be your main concern, its the STD's you should be worrying about. With the sound of your question you must be young and you should wait or use condoms cause i know telling you not to have sex is just a waist of words so just be safe.

Birth control means not having a baby. Common methods are abstinence, a condom, hormone pills, a diaphragm, a sponge, an IUD (intrauterine device), vasectomy (male sterilization), tubal ligation (female sterilization) and abortion. Until you understand all of this, and all the many types of sexually transmitted infections you can get, tell your boyfriend to keep it zipped.

Birth control is a pill that stops you from getting pregnant. When
you take it may make you sick allot. When you stop taking it and you go all the way, you may get pregnant. But I think it doesn't stop
STD's, HIV, or AIDs though. Does help you from getting pregnant.
