Okay. It's a bit of a generalisation! But I believe it's true.

More disturbingly (?) - what does this tell us about the female of our species?!

Stacey: This is not meant to be criticism of the female species. You should lighten up! You give women a bad name!!!

Ok first of all I know a lot of men who like cats and so my anser is about cat lovers vs. dog lovers and not men vs. women- Cat lovers are independant and want their own space- dog lovers are insecure and need a pet that ALWAYS want and gives attention.

I thinks it's a generalization. There are a lot of men who love cats also. I thinks it says more about living in a rented unit. Many landlords do not want to deal with dogs and many people are so busy with their 50-60 hour work weeks that it would be unfair to have a dog at home.

My fiance loves cats and we plan on having at least one or two once we get married and have a house. Personally I couldn't be with a guy that didn't like cats.

I do love cats, but I also know lots of guys who do as well.

and, what is so disturbing about about females (or anyone) liking cats? I'm assuming you must hate them? most people I know who hate cats are actually allergic to them.

I had a cat, but only because a girlfriend gave him to me as a present. She dumped me, and i kept the cat for a few years, until i got sick of changing his box, and feeding his butt. I just took him to a neighborhood i had never gone to, and dropped him off. I never felt bad about it, either.

that is not true. i have a lawyer friend who says that men should like cats more because they are proud animals. in my religion the prophet muhammud sallahualayhewasallam stated that cats are clean animals and dogs are unclean. he allowed cats in the masjid. but i must admit i myself love cats. they are so cute. i love calicos. cats are moody just like women. we can identify with them more i would have to say.
