I have this language Arts project that we have to do research about a topic that is debatable. anyone haves any ideas on what i can use (what topic)
I was thinking about banned books. But anyone haves any other ideas... there needs to be enough info. in books or something ele, not only Internet.

Maybe these:
1. To save energy, stores should not be allowed to be open between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
2. Driving permits should not be issued until age 15.
3. Roller blades should not be allowed on city streets.
4. All bicycle riders must wear helmets.
5.To save energy, students who live within one mile of school should not be allowed to drive a car to school.

Well, sweetheart, in your text question, it should be "Does anyone have any other ideas....." Also, there are many things going on. Banned books is good. The fact that the military might reinstitute (start over) the draft, so that males of the age of 18 will be forced into the military. Also, the Democrats just won over the House of Reps, and the Senate. Our president is Republican, how do you think that is going? Another issue is abortion, do you think its ok? Why, or why not? Is it ok if the woman had been raped? Another issue is blood drives. Our main source of blood donations was the group of Civil War veterans who had recieved blood transfusions throughout and after the war, and to show appreciation, they donated for years after. Now that generation is beginning to die, and the need for blood rests on the new generations of teens' shoulders. World hunger, war, Bush, Effects of music, racist music having or not having effects on people's personal beliefs, global warming(not much snow even in snowy states now due to global warming), The Frilled shark, look on youtube for it and you will see an ancient shark they discovered and later it died after they captured it for research. You can do a debate on cloning...lots about that out there I am sure..I had fun with that in college.
