Tell whether the given value of the variable is a solution of the equation. 108 = -36z; z = -3
Would it be -72z = -3 w/ a line through the = sign???

What about:
27 = n - 16; n = 11
Same directions but I tried 11 x 27....Is that right???

if z=-3, then plug -3 into the equation.
108=-36 (-3)
a neg times a neg = a positive. and 36*3=108, therefore -3 is a solution.

you put -3 in the place of z so it would be -36 times-3
