I'm retarded, need help
9=1/(x+4)+5
Solve for x. Can you show your work too? I'd really appreciate it.

nah - you're just tired

first subtract 5 from both sides

4= 1/ (x+4) ......now multiply by x+4

4x + 16 = 1
subtract 16 from both sides
4x = -15
divide both sides by four

x = ..........................u got it from hear - here - -- heer

x= -15/4
work: subtract the five from both sides, making the equation
4=1/(x+4)
then multiply the 4 by (x+4) giving you, 4x+16= 1, subtract 16 from both sides 4x=-15 and divide by 4...x=-15/4
