as a red sox and a pat fan i would have to say tom brady because he pretty much carried the pats on his shoulders to three superbowl victories, and though ortiz is the man, there was also manny and a bunch of other great fellows that helped the sox win their title

Big Papi! There's absolutely no doubt in my mind. While Brady is a clutch player, David Ortiz seems to lift the whole city - hell all of Red Sox Nation - on his back when it really matters.
