Your case was the problem of my student last week! He kept on telling me that he has two left foot, and that he feels awkward when he danced. I realized he had three problems:
1. Confidence. He was not confident that he can dance, but he was very willing to dance. What he believes and feels he is, becomes himself. If he says he can not dance, then he will never learn to dance no matter the efforts he makes. The reasons why he was not confident was the next two problems.
2. His partners kept on telling him how to dance. His partners were not confident of his dancing. His partners kept on telling him how he should dance. This made him nervous. Unable to meet each other's expectations, both succumbed to abandoning the dance.
3. No practice in dancing. How would you expect yourself to dance if you are not familiar with the music, its tempo and beat and your steps? Without skills in dancing, it is logical that it will affect the way one is criticized by another and by himself ultimately.
So here are the ways for you to really dance:
1. Stop saying that you can't dance. You can! But only if you do the next step.
2. Feel the passion to dance. Don't care about what people would say. Simply move your body to the music. Enjoy dancing on your own... solo first. Don't try partner dancing yet.
3. Learn some basic steps in dancing. Choose what type of dance. Get a trainer or a dance instructor to help you.
4. Invite your friends to join you in practicing dance. It is fun to learn dancing in a group.
5. Enroll in a dance class!!!! Perhaps there are free classes in your area. I do have one here in Manila, Philippines

Grab a close friend of yours, preferably a guy who knows how to dance, and practice on the weekends. That way you won't feel stupid if you mess up or step on his toes. Download different types of music from pop to country. Once you feel the beat of the music, dancing will come natural. But as the saying goes practice makes perfect. ;-)

Throughout the years I were blessed to grasp a couple of humans who're like an anchor, an unmovable rock. It is those I regularly run to while lifestyles comes crashing down. No shock, they all tough middle principal Christian. And, NO, no longer like the ones Baptist nuts that dislike homosexuals, our troops and so forth. These humans to me are reproach towards just about the whole lot Jesus taught. People make a laugh of Christians on right here day-to-day, even though while I was once detoxification from alcohol, it was once those sort of humans who stayed with me three days even as in a fetal function going out of my brain. My spouse and I were in combination twenty years and feature very blessed youngsters. To God be the consideration, however He used those Christians. I flip to God and His humans.
