I need to cover up a tatoo of a cross on my back. The tatoo is for the memory of my father, however it was poorly done. I want to cover it with something that also represents mourning and grief. Something that is solid black or with minimal color. This would be between my shoulder blades. Any suggestions?

There are artist out there who specialize in doing coverups. I would recommend finding a few and looking at their portfolios. Show the artists your piece and ask them what they would recommend for a cover up.

i suggest that you take it to your new and much better artist who can work with the existing tattoo. see, without seeing the image, it is hard to make suggestions.

some people will not touch other artists' work-- especially when it is poorly done! you may find someone who is comfortable putting their own work on top of the existing or finding a way to make it much better for your sake.

make sure you do your research & look at other tattoos the person has done!!!

sorry this happened to you.
