Cultural issues aside do you think that most people actually prefer dating within their own race and culture rather than somebody of a different race but still same culture? Do you think nterracial preferences (for marriage and long-term relationships) are the exception or that most people don't care about their partner's race if they both have the same culture?

Dating? No. I think when dating most people do not have a preference to stay inside their own race.

Marriage, though, in my opinion, is different. I personally, have no strong preference to marry inside my race, but I know many people who date outside of their race, but can't/won't marry outside of their race; for whatever reasons.

There is a particular race of the opposite sex that I am more attracted to, and its not my own race. Though I would not discriminate against my race if I met someone compatable

well out of everyone i know i am the only one who has dated outside my own colour and i find that is really the area you live in that will define who dates who case in point go to montreal there are many black and white couples there, i'm from toronto so seeing cultures mixing is no strange event to me but if you go deep south in the us i think they get a touch fuusy about that kind of thing. the girl i'm with is from malaysia and i've found a lot of common ground with her culture and mine, in the end i feel kinda sorry for folks who limit themselves to something as silly as wrapping to define who they will and will not make a relationship with

i don't. i have a really big thing for fit pacific islander guys or hot asian dudes w/ surf bodies and longer hair. i'm mixed and i don't have either of those things in me. my mom is part indian and white, yet she looks puerto rican to people, my dad looks white. so obviously he probably first thought she was something else.
i think it's good to make more mixed people, then maybe there'd be less racism

If most people prefer to conjugate with their own ethnic
background, why in the hell is everyone mixed with something
else? Sounds like a bunch of hipporcrits to me.

i like dating outside my own. i've learned so much about other cultures that it makes me less judgemental and more understanding. i have nothing against my own culture though.

I don't care what race a guy is. He has to be nice, funny, and cute.
