1) How come 80% of you "love" the Yankees - oh yeah - you either don't know baseball, or you are just bandwagon jumpers. You probably all "love" the Colts too now.
2) Sure they can win it again! And they just might. McCarthy was just a bullpen picture for us anyway, and was not even on the 05 roster, just a September call-up.
3) You Detroit fans - this is why you are so damn stupid. You actually believe that it was better to lose a World Series (Which you did by the way!!) in 06 than win one (Which the ChiSox did) in 05! When was the last time a team won back to back titles? (I know the answers - they are to make you think). How many times has a team done this since 1979? See... It is not easy to repeat. So do me a favor. Before you slam the Sox, go put on your "2nd place - we were just happy to be in the big show" t-shirts on, avoid that disgrace that is your downtown, laugh at your pitiful excuse of a football team and ask yourself "Who you crappin?".

THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!
I see the whinny sux fighting with KC for last place, and losing.
Oh yeah, mr. man The whinny sux did beat The Tigers 13 out of 19 games AND STILL DIDNT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!
What does that say about the whinny sux? That they REALLY SUCKED!
So, The Tigers lost the World Series? Big Deal. No One (not even me) expected The Tigers to do so well in 2006. The fact that they made The World Series (while the whinny sux collasped after the ASB) only goes to show how sucky the whinny sux really are.
There is nothing you can say that I won't say first.
I know The Tigers didnt play well in the World Series.
I know that they made 8 errors in 5 games (5 by the pitchers, which is a new WS record, and 2 by Brandon Inge--on one play) and I know that they "choked"...but you know what? It's ok.
I never thought they would get as far as they did. The best I was hoping for in spring training last year was 80-82 wins. The Tigers have a fine young pitching staff that will only get better, unlike the whinny sux (who were a fluke in 2005).
At least it doesnt take The Tigers 88 years to win a WS.
In between your WS wins (1917/2005) The Tigers have WON FOUR WORLD SERIES! (1935, 1945, 1968, and 1984).
You asked a question. I answered it.

Screw the Chi Sox. They have some one that is rideing their rear end with the Tribe. Before 2005, they did not win a WS in 80 some years and did that but will wait another 80 some years to do it again.

You're deluding yourself, Lieutenant Dan!
It seems like this question is asked only to get a rise out of Detroit fans.
Well at least my sweet Yankees are off everyone's hit list for a little while yet!
: )
Sorry Tiger fans, I tried, but I just don't feel like raking Dan over the coals today.

any team has the same chance at the start of the season. the chi sox are a better team than the tigers for sure though, but injuries kept them down. so better luck next year.

I'm not a White Sox fan... or a Tiger fan, but no they can not win it all. there team is getting TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO old.
The Twins pitching can shut them down, and the Tigers power can cruise right through.
