theres not really a WAY to tell, its kind of just a feeling you get. When your in love you know it, you don't have to ask yourself "is this love" but here are some of the feelings associated with love:

-It's hard for you to spend time away from a person.
-You call them, even if you don't have a new thing to tell him you just want to hear his voice.
-You feel comfortable telling him anything and everything.
-You would trust the person with your life.
-You can't think of anyone else the same way you think of him
-You can say "I love you" to them without feeling uncomfortable.
-He's always on your mind

You want to spend the rest of your life with him.
