What charitable thing are you planning on doing this year?

I have door knocked for the last nine years for the Salvation Army. I have collected in the rain, hail, seven months pregnant once. I'm having my second son this May and although the collection is in May i'm hoping to be able to do it still. I'm one of there best collectors. It's only once a year people but it makes me feel good about myself. What about you?

I always do all the marathons in my city that I can, I work with children, I work with animals and I give to many charities each year. I think I'm doing okay in the karma department. But going door to door pregnant, I can't beat. Good for you!!

For the last few years I have asked people what they care most about and then contribute to a charity in their name instead of a Christmas present and it went over very well. Lot of people think about giving, but don't so this kind of covered them for the year. ;)

I do check charities first to make sure a large percentage actually goes to the people being helped and not the organization. RAINN is an excellent example. www.rainn.org

Donate blood, probably 5 or 6 times in the year.
Donate clothes and household items we don't use.
Maybe a cash donation to a charity.

Take part of my tax return and help pay for a scholarship for an oncological nursing student (in memory of my dad), and if I get my bike running again there are a few charity rides I want to be part of.
