The best way, in my opinion is to chart your fertility signs. There are several signs of fertility. Cervical fluid, I believe, is the most reliable. Cervical position is fairly reliable too (pre-ovulatory and at ovulation). Temping is also a great way to confirm ovulation, predict your next period, and tell you if you might be pregnant.

Charting can also tell you if there are any problems w/ your feritlity or "challenges" unique to your cycle. It can even tell you when something may be seriously wrong w/ your reproductive health and you need to see a doc.

I highly recommend the following resources: Fertilityfriend.com (software for free and for purchase, online charting tutorial). Ovusoft.com (charting software for purchase and discussion groups), Couple-to-Couple League (not sure of the website). The books: Taking Charge of Your Fertility (assoc w/ ovusoft) and Garden of Fertility. TCOYF at least should be available at the library.

I am a expert at this.
I have five kids.
And planned them all.
Everyone's body is different.
The one and only way to tell when you're ovulating is by your vaginal discharge.
Most people ovulate around the 14th day after the first day of their period.
I ovulated the 19th day.
You have to go by your body fluids.
You will have two to three stages of fluids.
One stage will be very clear & watery.
You are not ovulating.
The discharge may become slightly thicker.
Now the way to tell if you are ovulating is, to take the discharge and either put it on toilet paper or on your finger's.
Now if you can spread your thumb and your index finger apart several times and the mucus or discharge strings along and does not break and keeps going back and forth you are ovulating.
You can do this with toilet paper too, but it is not as affective. If you can pull the paper apart several times without the mucus breaking you are ovulating.
I have helped numerous friends get pregnant using this method, I hope it works for you when you are ready.
Good luck!
God bless.

There are many ways to calculate when your ovulating.....but the easiest way, is to purchase some ovulation strips. You can purchase them on line for very inexpensive prices at www.accuratepregnancytests.com ....... The directions are listed on the web site under Ovulation test strip instructions..... The tests are similar to a pregnancy test...... your testing your urine to see when you are having a LH surge......once it is detected you will want to have sex within 24 hours and for the next 3 days.
Take strong notice in your cervical mucus......a very slippery egg white consistency is a great detection of a "fertile" time...... Try to relax with your legs elevated for 30-40 mins after your husband has ejaculated inside of you.
You only have a small window of opportunity every month.....about a 24 hour span......Good Luck
PS: I got pregnant the first month trying the pregnancy strips
