hey guys...i got a cingular 8125, and a tmobile sim with service in the US, houston texas area. so i got the phone working, got the unlock code out from google, now my question is, is it illegal to use a different sim on a different branded cell phone? like use tmobile on cingular branded phone? is it illegal? and will tmobile take actions if i call some one using the phone? i understand most services wont be available, but thats my curiousity

Yes. You can use it on any GSM Provider you'd like. This is legal. Also, if you have any issues with the txt messages, picture messages or internet, you can go to Manufacturers webpage and they will text you the settings for free.

Nope as long as the phone is unlocked your in the clear. Remember you might have problems with your messaging or e-mail when using a phone not bought from the service provider, but hey maybe you'll get lucky and not have that problem like i did.

Nope not illegal at all. It's your sim card and you can use it in any phone that is compatible.
